On April 7, 2015, Strategy Action Teams first met to start designing the action steps needed to achieve each of the strategies defined by our Strategic Planning Team.

All of our work was completed and presented to the Little Elm ISD Board of Trustees in May 2015. When the staff and students entered their schools for the start of the 2015-2016 school year, our Core Values, Vision, and Mission were proudly displayed as a reminder that we are boldly planning for excellence today and beyond for every student.
Why Develop a Strategic Plan?
The District’s five-year plan will purposely guide our work as we intentionally design schools that will impact the children served by Little Elm ISD both today and as they create their futures.
Identify CORE VALUES – The expression of our fundamental values and overriding convictions that will frame all that we do as an organization.
Clarify the VISION – The optimal desired future state - the mental picture - of what our school district can become in service to children
Develop the MISSION – This is a declaration of the reasons we open our doors, our purpose for existing, using our unique identity to aspire for defined excellence for children. Accomplishing our mission on a daily basis will help us to realize our vision.
Design GOALS – This is our organization’s commitment to achieve strategic, measurable, attainable, results-oriented actions that exceed our present organizational performance. Achieving our goals causes us to reach our mission.
Create STRATEGIES – These are the specific resolutions that dedicate the organization’s resources and energies toward our systemic and systematic continuous improvement to achieve the extraordinary for children. Reaching our strategies will accomplish our goals.
Our strategic planning process was a team effort of community members, parents, students, teachers, Little Elm business members and administrators. We have an on-going sense of urgency to fulfill the results-oriented, visionary plan for our District’s future.
