The mission of Little Elm ISD is to...
Little Elm ISD encompasses 40 square miles in the SE corner of Denton County along 62 miles of shoreline of Lake Lewisville. One of the fastest growing districts in the state of Texas, we serve students who reside in the communities of Little Elm, Frisco, Hackberry, Lakewood Village, The Colony, and Oak Point.
Our community maintains a "small town" feeling, yet because of our close proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, our teachers and students have access to the same resources as many large communities.
We project more than 7,500 students for the 2016-2017 school year with a continued 5% annual growth.

The Texas Accountability System Beginning in 2013, the Texas Accountability System is comprised of four indexes and the Community and Student Engagement and Compliance Rating. The four indices are a compilation of performance on several State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) tests given in grades 3-8 and for certain high school courses as well as participation and performance on the SAT, ACT and Advanced Placement tests.
Index 1 -- Student Achievement
Index 2 -- Student Progress
Index 3 -- Closing Performance Gaps
Index 4 -- Postsecondary Readiness
The previous state ratings of Exemplary, Recognized, and Acceptable are no longer awarded. In the new accountability system, campuses and districts can be classified as:
