Volunteers from Little Elm and other communities converged on Kohl’s Frisco Store last Saturday, October 29 to help clothe our Little Elm ISD students. Thank you to the hard work and generosity of the Clothe a Child team, Kohl’s and their employees, and more than 500 volunteers - it was a great reason to get up before the sun rose on a Saturday morning!
Mike Laughlin, Little Elm Clothe a Child Director said, “It was one of the most powerful and moving events of my 19 years with this organization. 477 families braved the early morning hours in order to take advantage of this great opportunity. A well-organized event team made up of many dedicated and self-sacrificing Little Elm residents, parents, staff, and students worked many hours for months before and during the event to make it all happen. The smiles on the 857 kid’s faces said it all, and their caring parents/guardians expressed such a great appreciation during and after the event. Special thanks to Kohl’s and their volunteer staff for hosting this, serving the kids, and providing such great prices!” said Laughlin.
