More than 30 Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee (LRFPC) members gathered Monday night to hear in-depth information regarding school funding, debt service, and some of the growing pains facing the District.
Because of the District’s projected growth and other aging and evolving facility needs, Little Elm ISD formed the Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee. The committee is an invaluable group of community members, selected by District Administration and school board members, formed to study the facility needs of the school district and ultimately present a recommendation to the Little Elm ISD Board of Trustees for consideration.
After Monday night's meeting, members understand the daunting task at hand of deciding future needs for students, in combination with a very complicated state school funding system.
The next LRFPC meeting is April 25 at 6:00 Tuesday evening. It is an open meeting and the public is welcome to attend.Read Summary Meeting notes and watch presentation videos to learn more about the District and the LRFPC.
