Little Elm ISD Honors Veterans

Prestwick hosted a Veterans Day Ceremony with a parade of colors by Frisco's American Legion Post 178. Students lined the pathways to honor the colors and give thanks to all who served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans of the Prestwick FamiLE were invited to share their experience with students to enhance their understanding and importance of freedom, sacrifice, and the Armed Forces.

Lakeview Elementary teachers and students celebrated and honored our service men and women the Lakeview way. Veterans were welcomed with a breakfast and a special rendition of the song "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" presented by the Lakeview Choir, three teachers, and the campus counselor.

Chavez Elementary Students packed the gym for a Veterans Day Assembly!  The program the entrance of the honorary guests. Family and friends who served in the military proceeded in and were greeted by a a tunnel of students. The choir, led by choir director Adam Duc, sang patriotic songs and Mr. Duc performed Taps in honor of the veterans and for our fallen heroes.

Hackberry Elementary hosted its Veterans Day Assembly. The choir performed and veterans were honored on this special celebration day!

Brent Elementary honored and recognized veterans during an assembly. Veterans had the opportunity to introduce themselves, then each veteran was given a flag and certificate of thanks. The Choir performed the National Anthem and other patriotic songs and students read a poem about the life of a veteran.

Oak Point Elementary's Veterans Day Program started with the presentation of the colors and the singing of the National Anthem. The Choir and Malleteers performed and each Veteran in attendance was individually recognized. Students read poems written for Veterans and the program closed with a color performance of Taps. After the program members of the Student Council escorted veterans and family members to a reception.

Members of the Little Elm High School Student Council and Lobo football team celebrated Veterans Day by presenting Lobo football jerseys to faculty members that served in the Armed Forces.
