WELCOME to the 2022-2023 school year. I am excited to be back at Lakeview and looking forward to working in-person with your child in the Structured Learning (RISE) class.  I am originally from Saginaw, Michigan, where I graduated from Arthur Hill High School, later attending Saginaw Valley State University, earning my Bachelor of Business Administration in Management.  I attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI where I earned a Master of Science in Administration.  After relocating to Louisiana in 2011, I attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe where I obtained my Master of Teaching in Elementary Education and Special Education. It was also in Louisiana that I met and married my husband, Christopher; together we have four children, three boys and a daughter. My hobbies include; traveling, spending time with my family, reading, doing word search puzzles, and coloring. 

This is my eighth year of teaching.  My first two years were in Fourth Grade English Language Arts and my last six have been with Self-Contained Special Needs, specifically with students with autism.  My educational motto is "Every student can learn, some in different ways and at different speeds."
