Hello Pestwick Family! I am so looking forward to the opportunity to teach your children PhysicalEducation this year. I was born in California where I attended California State UniversityStanislaus where I also competed in Track and Field. I was a two-time conference Champion in the CCAA High Jump in 2005 and Pole Vault in 2006. I also received my Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. I taught in Stockton, CA for five years and was the High School Athletic Director for two years. Most recently I have been teaching at a K-8 grade charter school in Physical Education. My family and I have moved to the great state of Texas and look forward to a new start. My goal as a Physical Education Teacher is to teach Physical Literacy. I want each child to find an area or many areas to stay physically active for a lifetime. My other job is being a soldier. I have been in the United States Army Reserve for 27 years. I have been a Military Police Officer my entire career. I have deployed to Iraq (2003), Cuba (2011), and most recently Kuwait (2018). At home I live with my wife Chrissy and my two children Kellan 9, and Kaia 6. In my spare time I am either doing a CrossFit workout or taking my children to a sport practice. I enjoy woodworking in my garage, eating good sushi, eating good pizza, being at the lake, or just hanging out with my family. This will be a great year and I thank you all for the opportunity to teach your children.
