I started my teaching career in 2020. I graduated in Little Rock, Arkansas with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Before teaching, I practiced nursing since 2004. I started out as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse. I then worked as a medical surgical nurse, pediatrics and mother and baby nurse before starting school nursing. On my off time, I love to hang out with my family!
This year I am teaching Medical Terminology. Students will be introduced to the structure of medical terms, including prefixes, suffixes, wood roots, combining forms, and singular and plural forms, plus medical abbreviations and acronyms. The course allows students to achieve comprehension of medical vocabulary apprpriate to medical procedures, human anatomy and physiology, and pathophysiology.
