Hello! My name is Mrs. Jennifer Everman and I am happy to say that I have been a part of the Chavez team since 2012.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Psychology at Angelo State University.  I later realized that I wanted to make a difference in children’s lives so I went back to school where I earned a Master’s of Arts in Teaching degree from Texas Woman’s University. I recently completed another Master's degree, but this time it is in Curriculum and Instruction in Literacy. I have been teaching since 2005. I taught pre-k for a couple of years and then moved to first grade in 2008. In 2019 I decided to make another change so I moved to 3^rd grade where I taught Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. This year I will now be the Reading Specialist for our campus.

I have a husband named Tyrone, two daughters named Ainsley and Savannah, and a step-daughter named Meagan. In my spare time I love to run long distance and spend time with my family. My father taught me that you can do anything that you put your mind to so I work to instill that same confidence in my students because I believe that they can all be successful life-long learners.

I am excited to begin the school year so I can get to know your child and help them become successful life-long learners.
