Hello LOBOS!

I am excited to be here, for this new school year!  I have been with LEHS since the 2013-14 school year.  I have taught many social studies subjects including U.S. History, World Geography, U.S. Government, Economics, World History, AP Government, AP Macroeconomics and Mexican-American Studies.  In addition to teaching here in Little Elm, I have also taught in Houston, TX and Plainfield, IL.  I will be teaching US Government, Economics, and Mexican-American Studies this school year.    

A bit about myself.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Houston-Downtown.  I also have a Master's Degree in History from the University of Nebraska with an emphasis on Mexican-American History.  Among other topics, I have studied Native America, African-American History, Religion, Criminal Justice, Racism in America, and as previously mentioned, Mexican-American History.

I was born in Chicago, Illinois, but I was raised in Houston, TX.  I root for both the BEARS and the TEXANS and the BULLS and the ROCKETS.  I have lived in Texas, Illinois, Louisiana, Nebraska, and San Luis Potosí, México.  I enjoy reading, traveling, watching sports, and listening to music.  Some of my most memorable traveling places have been Chichen Itza, Xilitla, Puerto Vallarta, and Niagara Falls.    

I have been happily married to Maria since 2004.  I have two wonderful sons who also attend LEISD schools.  

I enjoy reading, it is one of my passions.  Two books that I am reading are Chicano! The History of the Mexican-American Civil-Rights Movement by Dr. Francisco A. Rosales and Open Veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano.
