Mrs. Julia Smith CTE Education & Training
I graduated from Texas State University in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and have been teaching for over 20 years. I have taught all age levels from Kindergarten through high school. I am certified in Elementary Education PK-8, Dance 6-12, Secondary Speech Communications 6-12, and Family and Consumer Sciences 6-12.
I currently teach CTE Education and Training classes at LEHS and previously I founded and created the LEHS Blue Angels Drill Team and Dance program. Prior to joining LEHS I taught 3rd and 5th grades at Brent Elementary. I worked in two other districts at the beginning of my career, Corpus Christi ISD (5th grade) and Aldine ISD (Kindergarten). I feel blessed and forturnate to be part of the FamiLE.
