Mr. Michael Absher
Mr. Absher earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He holds a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and a Master of Science Degree in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is also a National Certified Counselor and is an active member of the American School Counselor Association, Lone Star State School Counselor Association, and Texas Counseling Association.
Mr. Absher brings a wealth of experience providing high school academic and postsecondary guidance and counseling to diverse populations of students. He looks forward to the opportunity to serve and assist LEHS students and parents with all of their academic, personal/social, and college/career needs!

Mrs. Kaitlyn McGuire
Mrs. McGuire works for LEISD as a House Counselor for students F-Ll. Prior to joining the team, Mrs. McGuire served as a teacher at Little Elm High School teaching science and AVID, as well as coaching volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
Mrs. McGuire earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Master of Education Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University.
Mrs. McGuire brings an excitement to the LEHS counseling team and looks forward to working with LEHS students and parents in helping students find success during high school and after graduation!

Mrs. Teri Smith
Last Names Lo-Ri
Mrs. Smith has been with LEISD since 2004 serving first as a 1st-grade teacher and then an ESL specialist at Chavez Elementary before making the transition to a counseling role. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Amberton University.
Mrs. Smith and her husband, Mike are the proud parents of four Little Elm graduates. Her oldest daughter and son are now teachers at Little Elm High School. #Loboproud

Mr. Juan Schmidt
Last Names Ro-Z
Mr. Schmidt serves as a house counselor for students with the last names of Ro-Z. He began his education career as a high school science teacher and coach after graduating from Luther College. He received his MA in Counselor Education from the University of Iowa. He worked as a secondary counselor in the state of Iowa prior to moving to Texas.
In college, he participated in cross-country and track serving as team captain in both sports. Throughout his coaching career he had many participants and teams that placed in state competitions.
He presently lives with his wife in North Texas.

Mrs. Terilyn Thomas-Monday
Transition Specialist
Mrs. Terilyn Thomas-Monday serves the counseling and special education departments as the Transition Specialist. She has always had a passion for working with at-risk and special education students.
Mrs. Thomas-Monday joined the faculty of Little Elm High School in 2007 as a math teacher and served in a variety of leadership roles within the department, including as its chair. She transitioned to campus leadership as an administrative intern in 2012 and served as House Principal for 7 years.
Prior to public education, Mrs. Thomas-Monday worked in the fields of Social Work, Non-Profit Business Management and has teaching and administrative experience at the college level. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Texas in Austin and a Master of Arts degree in Adult and Developmental Education from Texas State University in San Marcos.
