In one short year after moving from Lakeview, Callie Masai has become an integral part of the Hackberry family. She is a planner, asks good questions, and celebrates successes. Each of her students has shown huge growth both academically and socially because she empowers students to achieve more than they ever thought they could. She is a natural teacher that understands how to make learning relevant to her students. There is no doubt that Callie Masai is the Hackberry Elementary 2015 Teacher of the Year.

Karla is full of energy and keeps everyone smiling. She goes above and beyond in helping and is full of Hackberry Pride. The relationship she has with students, parents and staff is second to none. Sergio Ramiro

Sergio is at school each day at 5:45AM to open the building and turn all the lights on. He is quick to respond to help all around the building from clean ups on the playground to catching wasps in the kinder hallway. He is a big help when we lose our water service and helps us continue on with our school day. Sergio Ramiro is the Hackberry 2015 Auxiliary Lobo Team Member of the Year.
