Free & Reduced Lunch Application
LEISD Child Nutrition Services offers, in conjunction with the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program, free and reduced meal benefits for qualifying households.
Each school year a new application is required to apply for the free or reduced meal benefits.
Applications are available online below, from each school campus office, or at the Child Nutrition office. If you believe that you may qualify for the free or reduced priced meal benefits, please complete the application online or complete a paper copy and return it to Child Nutrition.
Applications for free and/or reduced meals can be completed at anytime during the school year due to changes in financial income, unforeseen circumstances, such as unemployment.
Before you begin...
If you received a letter from the school saying that your children were automatically approved (directly certified) for free meals for the 2020-2021 school year because someone in your household participates in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), then you do not need to submit an application.
We need only one application for all children in your household that attend school in Little Elm ISD.
Eligibility for free or reduced priced school meals benefits is based on any one of these 3 things:
1. Your total household income and size in the month the application is filled out, or the month before, or
2. Your child's individual status as foster, homeless, migrant, or runaway, or
3. Participation in an assistance program by any member of your household
US citizenship or immigration status does not affect your eligibility for free or reduced price benefits.
