Mr. Michael Bruno

We are pleased to announce Michael Bruno in his new role as Assistant Principal at Brent Elementary. Mr. Bruno began his career in Little Elm in 2005. Originally serving LEISD as a third grade teacher, Bruno has been the Math and Science Specialist at Oak Point Elementary for the past four years. During his time in LEISD, he worked with the District’s reading curriculum, the strategic planning action team, and campus leadership team. Bruno was Oak Point Elementary’s 2016-17 Teacher of the Year, and has recently completed his second year in Aspiring Leaders Institute (ALI) taught by Dr. Lowell Strike.

“Mike Bruno exemplifies our District’s goal to Engage, Equip, and Empower not only our students but our staff members. He is dedicated to providing the needed resources and support so that students and staff are successful. His leadership will be valuable as he moves into the role of Assistant Principal at Brent,” said Debbie Clark, Oak Point principal.

Bruno graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies followed by a master’s degree in Education Administration from Concordia University in Austin.

"Our Brent FamiLE is very excited and lucky to have Mr. Bruno join us. We look forward to seeing the great things he will bring to our campus as we continue BEing the Difference!" said Virginia Gwyn, incoming Brent principal.
