Hello Everyone!

Welcome to 4th Grade!!

I am Mrs. Cooke, and I teach Math and Science here at Chavez Elementary. This is my third year at Chavez, and I am so excited to be here. I began my teaching carreer teaching at preschools and Mother's Day Out type programs when I was 18. I finally went back to school and graduated from Texas A&M University-Texarkana in 2018. I truly love teaching, and couldn't imagine a better place to be than with my FamiLE here at Chavez. My life outside of school is quite literally a zoo, my husband, Marcel and I have one daughter, Catlynn, 3 dogs (Murphy, Tank, and Tilly), a bird (Indy), and a bearded dragon (Norbert). If you happen to visit my classroom you may just a get a chance to visit with Norbert. When I am not lesson planning or grading I love watching movies with my family, and curling up with a good book. I truly believe that books can take us anywhere, and anyone can be a world traveler as well as a traveler of stories. I have had some of the greatest adventures within the pages of a book. I really look forward to learning with you this year!

A few of my favorite things

Color: Olive Green or Maroon

Book: Harry Potter is number one, but I truly have so many favorites it's unbelievable.

Movie-I can't pick just one, my family and I are very much movie people. 

Sweet Snack: Anything Reese's or Quest Peanut Butter Cups

Store: Hobby Lobby, Maurices, Target, and of course Amazon

Coffee or Tea- Hot Tea before bed is my favorite. 

Fast Food: Chik Fil A

Food: I love all kinds of food, and I'm up for trying new things for the most part. 

Scent: Bath and Body Works A Thousand Wishes
