Ms. Chandler Smith

English II/Creative Writing/Assistant Cheer Coach

Welcome!

I have taught English at LEHS since 2019 and have been an assistant cheer coach since 2021. I am a proud graduate of Little Elm High School and love that I get to teach at my Alma Mater. My family is a family of Lobos as my 3 younger siblings also graduated from LEHS and my mom has worked in LEISD since 2004. I am blessed to get to work with both my mom and my brother. My mom is a counselor here at LEHS and my brother teaches math.

In high school, I was a cheerleader and powerlifter, which are still two of my passions to this day. After high school, I went on to cheer at Blinn College and Sam Houston State University. I was also a Zeta Tau Alpha at Sam Houston. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.A. in Mass Communication with an emphasis in multi-platform journalism.

Fun facts about me: I coach cheerleading part-time at Thunder Extreme in Denton. I have a personal training certification and love working out. I love to travel. I love photography and being creative. I have 3 dogs that I take way too many pictures of.

From a young age, my mom instilled a love for reading in me and it has forever stuck with me. I have a passion for reading and writing and love getting to share that passion with my students! I truly believe anyone can love to read if they find the right books and think of themselves as a reader.

My goal as a teacher is to empower my students, build positive relationships, help them relate what they're learning to their daily lives and make a difference in their lives. I want my classroom to be a place where all of my students feel welcome and comfortable to learn.

Please reach out at any time if you have any questions or concerns!

Tutoring Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00-3:30 pm or by appointment
