For the 2021-2022 school year, all Little Elm ISD students will have regular access to a laptop computer.
Students in grades PreK through 3rd grade will use laptops and devices that are kept in the classroom. Procedures will be in place for students to take devices home in the event that learning moves to an online, remote environment
Students in grades 4-12 will be issued a laptop for use at school. Laptops will go home daily with students to complete classroom assignments. Devices are expected to be brought to school fully charged every day.

Chromebook - Grades PreK-2
- Students login to their LEISD Chromebook using their @leisdstudent.ws email address and password.
- Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade who are not yet familiar with their LEISD email address and password can use a QR code to login.
- Parents can request a QR code from their student's teacher.
How to Login with the QR Code:
- Turn on the Chromebook
- Connect the LEISD Chromebook to your home wifi internet connection. Instructions can be found here.
- On the login page, click "Scan QR code" button
- Give permission to use the webcam, if requested.
- Put the QR code in front of the webcam. The computer should scan it and complete the login process.
Once a student is logged in to their Chromebook, they are automatically logged in to their LEISD Google account and the LEISD Login Portal, which can be used to automatically login to Clever and other software applications.
Follow these directions to connection your LEISD Chromebook to your home wifi internet connection.

If something is not working on your Chromebook, there is a small chance that the computer needs to be updated to the latest version of Chrome. (This should happen automatically, but sometimes users must force the update to happen.)
- Turn on your Chromebook.
- Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi.
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Click the "Settings" gear icon.
- At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.
- Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
- Select Check for updates.
- If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.

Chromebook - Grades 3-12
How to Login:
- Turn on the Chromebook
- Connect the LEISD Chromebook to your home wifi internet connection. Instructions can be found here.
- On the login page, enter your student's @leisdstudent.ws email address and their password.
- Click "Go" to login.
Once a student is logged in to their Chromebook, they are automatically logged in to their LEISD Google account and the LEISD Login Portal, which can be used to automatically login to Clever and many other software applications.
If you do not know your student's password, please contact your school's Instructional Technology Assistant or the LEISD Technology Help Desk for assistance.
