Welcome!  My name is Jackie Jackson and I am the Gifted and Talented Specialist at Oak Point Elementary and Hackberry Elementary. I enjoy pushing my GT students past what they thought they could do before! We don't use the word 'hard' in my classroom.  We call it challenging and we push through!  In GT, we get to do a lot of different things and I love that no two days/classes are ever the same! I am also at two different campuses so that really rings true! I am a graduate of The University of North Texas.  Go Mean Green!  I have 16 years in education with 5 years teaching GT in LEISD. Go Lobos!

My husband and I live a very full life with our 3 boys.  My husband works as an account manager for a mortgage software company and enjoys coaching baseball for our boys. Our oldest (Blake) is in high school and is growing up too fast.  He has found his passion in acting and we often are racing him to/from rehearsals.  Our middle (Luke) is our creative and shy kiddo who enjoys being active.  He plays several sports and loves to cook/bake and do art!  He is a creative kiddo who likes to use anything he finds in the house to create even when I may have needed it later. hahaha Our youngest (Landon) is a kind hearted sports lover.  He is always asking to play catch with some sort of ball and sometimes I have to look closely so I don't walk into a room while a ball is flying through the air!  haha If you ever met him, he most likely talked you into throwing him some baseballs or playing catch while becoming best friends.  I could tell you what I would like to do in my free time, but mostly it revolves around my family.  Maybe when they are all grown I will pick up some hobbies! lol
