Mrs. Ellen Rogers

My name is Mrs. Rogers and I am so excited to be the K-5 Reading Specialist at Hackberry Elementary. 2016 was my first year to teach in Little Elm ISD, but I am not unfamiliar with the district. I attended Little Elm schools from kindergarten through 12th grade so I am a Lobo for life! I taught 4th grade Dual Language (English side) from 2016-2021, and began my journey as a Reading Specialist in the fall of 2021.

I attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX where I received an Interdisciplinary Generalist Degree with minors in Spanish, Music, and Education. While attending Hardin Simmons, I met and married my husband and together we have a son who began his time in Little Elm schools as a Kindergartener in 2016 and a daughter who was born in May 2018. Our family lived in Abilene, TX for 11 years before moving back home to Little Elm, TX in the Spring of 2016.  Outside of teaching, my hobbies include spending time with my family, traveling, music, reading, and gardening.

The motto at Hackberry Elementary is Love, Serve, Care and I know we will be successful in fulfilling this mission throughout the next school year in everything we do.

Please feel free to contact me via school email or phone.
