    The Grants Committee of the Little Elm ISD Education Foundation is proud to share Fall 2017 Innovative Teaching Grants application.

    Innovative Teaching Grants are designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches for reaching program objectives. The Little Elm ISD Education Foundation (LEISDEF) is offering teachers the opportunity to apply for grants to support innovative programs or projects to support higher levels of student learning. The grants must enhance student academic performance and support the objectives, goals, and initiatives of the Campus Action Plan.

    For Fall 2017, individual Grant Awards will be between $250 and $1,500 for teacher-initiated programs or projects. The number of awarded grants will depend on funds available from LEISDEF the number of eligible proposals.

    Below are the dates you will need to know. All grants must be received by 5 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017. Instructions are in the grant application linked below.

    October 30, 2017                  Grants proposal deadline, 5 p.m.
    November 2, 2017                Grant Selection Committee Meeting
    November 7, 2017                Present Grants to LEISDEF Board of Directors for Approval

    The Grant Selection Committee is comprised of 10 members, including District representatives, LEISDEF board members, and community representatives. Applications will receive a blind review to ensure an objective score unbiased by individual or campus ties.

    We are aware of the challenges teachers face due to limited resources within our schools and classrooms. Our goal is to help you support a new and innovative idea that will benefit your students.
