Mr. Clint Turner - Choir

My name is Clint Turner, and I'm absolutely thrilled to begin my 1st year as the choir director here at Lakeside Middle School! I graduated from UNT in May 2017, and graduated from Little Elm High School in 2013. I attended school in Little Elm ISD my entire life, beginning in pre-K at Animal Quackers, then moving to Zellars elementary (the Primary School at that time), Chavez, Powell Intermediate, Lakeside Jr. High, and finally LEHS. I performed with both the band and choir programs, and received my inspiration to become a music teacher from Karen Mayberry who had been in the district for over 20 years.  I just finished teaching two amazing years at Oak Point Elementary.  I will miss those wonderful musicians, but I can't wait to see them join the LMS choir program in the future!

I live with my two dogs (both are mutts), and I married my high school sweetheart, Quynh, in November 2017 (whom I first met in 6th grade band at the Powell 6th grade center). My mother is in her 16th year teaching 4th grade at Chavez elementary, my dad is a law enforcement teacher in Frisco ISD, and my sister Shelby is a junior in high school. Shelby will be performing as a saxophone player in the band this year, so I'll be at all of the LEHS football games! I'm also the proud brother of a Navy sailor, and I'm excited to see my brother serving our amazing country.

I love making music and helping spark the same passion for music within my students. This will be a wonderful school year, and I can't wait to get to know y'all, and continue the tradition of musical success here at Lakeside Middle School!

Welcome to what essentially will be a choir blog throughout the year.  This will be just to voice some of my thoughts and share good news about the program throughout the year.
