Mrs. Jill Miller Head Softball Coach Special Education

Coach Miller is beginning her 20th year in education and 4th at Little Elm High School. Growing up and attending middle and high school in Plano, she participated in Volleyball, Student Council, and HOSA.  Softball was her first love which she played at the national level.  After a career ending shoulder injury, she vowed to learn as much as she could about the body to prevent any other young ladies from hurting their shoulders.  She continued her education on an Athletic Training scholarship to SMU in Dallas, TX.  After completing her Student Athletic Training hours, she transferred to University of North Texas to complete a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology.  Coach Miller started her career in education at Terrell High School as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.  After a year, she was given to opportunity to be the head softball coach at West Mesquite High School, where she coached for 3 years.  She went on to coach at Naaman Forest High School where she returned the team to the playoffs multiple years. While Coach Miller was at Naaman Forest she completed her Masters of Educational Administration at Lamar University. Coach Miller has a second love of rodeo sports medicine while volunteering for the Justin Sports Medicine Team at the Mesquite Rodeo.  She has since earned a position as Program Manager covering various rodeos throughout the year as time allows.  She currently resides in McKinney, TX with her husband, Chad, and 2 yellow labs, Thelma and Louise.  GO LOBOs!
