Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Sara Head, 1st grade (Team Lead)
Hello Hackberry Family,
My name is Sara Head and I teach first grade at Hackberry Elementary. I have taught for a total of six years: three years in special education, two in kindergarten and one year in third grade. Four of those years I have been asked to lead my grade level, as team lead. I joined the Little Elm FamiLE from Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD. I am a proud graduate of Keller High School and St. Edwards University. I received a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at St. Edwards University. At St. Edwards University, I earned my BA in early childhood education. In May, I will be graduating from the University of North Texas with my Masters in Leadership and Administration.
I am extremely close to my family. On weekends, I enjoy sleeping in...however, this is not happening much due to my Masters courses, watching my nieces compete in sports, and taking my fur baby (3 year old Chocolate Lab) on walks so he can get some of his energy out. I also enjoy working out with Camp Gladiator throughout the week. Traveling is a hobby of mine that I truly love. Starbucks is my addiction, I LOVE COFFEE. Many would say I am people person and love to laugh. I am excited and humbled to be part of the Hackberry staff and most importantly the opportunity to teach our wonderful students!
Favorite Quotes from my two favorite ladies...
Oprah: "Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher."
Ellen: "Sometimes you can't see yourself clearly until you see yourself through the eyes of others."
