Mr. Stephen Richardson
After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, I spent twelve years in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD in various roles. While in GCISD, I received my Master degree in Education from Lamar University. I am currently working toward my Doctoral Degree at Walden University with a focus in Education Leadership. This will be my 5th year in LEISD, serving as the Assistant Principal my first two years and now moving into my third year as Principal at Hackberry. I’ve always had a desire to learn and keep up to date with high-evidenced based strategies. I love to be innovative and creative in the ways we choose to engage students in learning. I believe that all children can learn. I believe that with hard work and perseverance we can ensure all students are successful. I truly believe the best part of my job is seeing students in action when visiting the classrooms. I get to know every student and every student gets to know me.
My vision is to create a school where we engage, equip, and empower ALL students to reach their full potential. To deliver the highest quality educational experience where global citizens are born through advanced rigor, engaging teaching methods, and a passionate climate and culture. Teaching in ways that promote creativity, innovation, wonder, joy, and a passion for learning. Our mission at Hackberry is “We believe that all students can learn at high levels. We take collective responsibility for the learning of all. ALL of our kids are ALL of our kids!”
I feel blessed to be the Principal of this wonderful school! I’m looking forward to a great 2019-2020 school year!
