Dr. C. Chatter-Fitzhugh

Dr. Chatter-Fitzhugh began her career in education in 2005 as a high school English teacher in Birmingham, Alabama. In 2012, her family moved to Little Elm, Texas. In addition to serving the students of the Lobo FamiLE, she taught in Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Garland ISD, and Prosper ISD. As a school facilitator for the National Urban Alliance®, Dr. Chatter-Fitzhugh focused on best practices of teaching culturally, linguistically diverse and exceptional learners. She has also presented at several national conferences, including the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities© and the Teacher Education Division of the Council for Exceptional Children©. On March 22, 2021, Dr. Chatter-Fitzhugh successfully defended her dissertation: First Responders' Perceptions of Public Safety Instruction for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Being a track mom and watching ALABAMA football are just two of her favorite things to do on the weekends.
