Hi! I am Ms. Schlegel (pronounced SHLAY-gull) and I'm so excited to be starting my first year here at Chavez Elementary! Before coming to Chavez I was a preschool teacher. Formerly a Social Worker, I made the transition to education because there is nothing more fulfilling to me than being a part of molding the hearts and minds of young ones and helping them reach their greatest potential! I believe that every student can succeed and leave a powerful mark on our world, and my desire is for them to believe that of themselves as well!  I am originally from Pennsylvania, but moved to Texas about two years ago with my three children and our sweet dog, Hazel. I am looking forward to an incredible year!

9:00-10:00- Brain break, science, snack, recess

10:00-11:00-Social studies, math, story time 

11:00-12:00-Lunch, social skills, gym

12:00-1:00- Social skills, word study, brain break, character meeting

1:00-2:00- Daily reflection, Snack, Recess

2:00-3:00- Honors Time, Social Emotional Learning, Independent Reading

3:00-3:30- Afternoon meeting, dismissal

3:30-4:00- Conference time
