Greetings! My name is Monica Schooler and I am a 6-8th grade BASE (Behavior, Academic, Social, Emotional) teacher in the SPED department here at Strike Middle School. 

I was raised in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor's Degree in History. After living in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, IL, my husband's professional position was transferred to Texas in 2014. My family and I adapted well to the move and now, we can't picture ourselves ever leaving Texas. Once we settled down, I became certified to teach EC - 6 Core Subjects, EC -12 ESL, and EC -12 SPED. I am currently studying for the Social Studies 7 - 12 exam and my long-term goal is to become a licensed school therapist.  

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, shopping, reading, and spending the weekends with my family watching movies and playing board games.  

Teaching is my passion and I am so honored to serve the youth in my community. I am looking forward to an awesome school year. Strike Strong, Go Lobos!
