Culinary Arts is an exciting skill needed for the professional kitchen! More essential than that, the art of cooking is a life skill that is surely to be a blessing to any family of foodies! Eating out can be costly, and the student will learn the fundamentals to prepare delicious meals to nourish the body and inspire the mind! My students will have the opportunities to acquire the self-esteem needed to compete in the hospitality workforce.
I've lived in Texas for over forty years and been cooking professionally for 22. I have two boys that are my world. In my long career in the hospitatlity industy: I have owned and operated my very own restaurant, I worked several years as an executive chef for HIlton, and I was a chef de cuisine for Hyatt hotels. Additionally I was a Food Service Director at various private schools. I enjoy lifting weights, playing golf, biking, and like to shop for gadget-tech at Best Buy. Now as culinary teacher for LEHS, I am committed to pique the interest of students in the art of Culinary through: clear classroom instruction, extra curricular clubs, and hands-on food preparation.
