I was born in Jacksonville, FL.  I attended Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a specialization in reading.  Also, I attended the University of North Texas and received a Master of Elementary Education. I have served in the education field for over 20 years. I began my teaching career in Plano ISD where I taught first, second,, third and fifth grades at Dooley, Stinson, and Gulledge Elementary. I am excited about teaching math to all of the fifth-grade students at Brent.  I truly love teaching! Every child deserves an equitable education and it is my job to advocate, support, and listen to my students' voices.  My goal as an educator is to facilitate and guide students through exploring new concepts, and challenges and encourage critical thinking so that each child grows academically but socially, and emotionally as well.
