My name is Meredith Spaw and I am so excited about starting my sixth year of teaching. I am from Lewisville and graduated from Texas Tech University with a music education degree in 2016. I am Kodaly certified and just recently completed Orff Level l and Orff Level ll at SMU. I am currently serving as the instrument chair for the North Texas American Orff-Schulwerk Association. 

Music is a universal language that does not discriminate. The music room should be a safe place for all to learn and build relationships through many different musical avenues. No one person is the same and that’s something to be celebrated. Music does just that. “Often a single experience will open the young soul to music for a whole lifetime.”- Zoltan Kodaly 

Currently, I live in Denton with my husband and dog. I love to read and am obsessed with coffee. If I’m not at home, you can find me at a coffee shop or at church.
