Hello Lobo FamiLE!

I am so excited to be teaching y'all this year! I grew up in the north Dallas area, and love living here with my family so close! My husband and I have two boys and a dog, Lena. We love the outdoors, especially fishing and kayaking. My favorite things to do are to read, cook, and create.

I attended Baylor University for both my undergraduate and Masters degrees, earning a BS in Elementary Education and MS in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on Mathematics. 

I have taught in middle school and elementary classrooms, both in Oklahoma and Texas, and love teaching MATH the most. "Why?" you might ask. Because math allows us to think in different ways, and challenges us to search for solutions to problems that we encounter. I love problem solving, puzzles, and using a growth mindset to figure out problems.  I find that if I go into a problem with an open mind and look for multiple ways to solve the problem, I am much more likely to gain a deeper understanding of it, whether it is a problem that I am working on in "real-life" or in the math classroom.
