Hello!!

My name is Katie Beveridge, and I this is my second year at Walker Middle School! This year I will be teaching Beginning Theatre and Technical Theatre.

Born and raised in sunny Long Beach, California, I've been on stage since I was in middle school myself. I spent two years studying theatre at Cal State University Long Beach before moving to Denton, where I graduated from UNT in 2019 with a Bachelor's in Theatre Performance. Throughout my academic and professional acting career, I spent time studying and creating in every aspect of theatre, from performance to costume design to choreography-- even co-producing an independent production with a group of peers from start to finish. As a first year teacher, I am so thrilled to be able to take my love of perfomance and technical theatre to the classroom to share with the talented kiddos here in Little Elm! 

I am an avid theatre and film lover, traveller, DIY enthusiast, and professional drama queen! I love the outdoors and camping, concerts, cooking and baking creative gluten-free treats (I have celiac disease), and hanging out with my fur babies and friends. 

I can't wait to see what kinds of awesome things we create together this year!
