Ms. Renee Elias
Hello Lobos! My name is Ms. Renee Elias, and I am a Technology Applications teacher and Volleyball/ Basketball/ Track & Field coach here at Walker Middle School. I am so excited to be joining Little Elm ISD, and am overwhelmed by the sense of community and dedication to students I have seen so far this year.
For the past two years, I taught middle school English Language Arts and Special Education in Frisco ISD. I am certified to teach Technology Applications, Journalism, Special Education, English Language Arts and Reading, and Physical Education.
Before becoming a teacher, I spent 20-years in the technology industry as both a co-founder of a national software company and an entrepreneur specializing in artificial intelligence-driven business solutions. In these roles, I gained valuable technology and business experience that will enable me to provide engaging, relevant educational experiences for the students of Walker Middle School!
When I'm not teaching and coaching, I love spending time with my boys (Cade -16 and Jace - 13). We like to play basketball and football, go to water parks, watch movies, and take our sweet, energetic dogs (a German Shepherd named Sophie and a chow mix named Lexie) to the dog park. I also enjoy working on DIY projects, learning about new technologies, traveling, and drinking coffee! : )
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Public Relations, and I am a huge fan of OU football, basketball, and track & field. Go Sooners! While at OU, I joined the Track & Field team as a high jumper, and I spent a great deal of time helping raise money for a battered womens' charity through my Alpha Chi Omega sorority affiliation.
