This year (2022-2023) is my first year teaching with LEISD.  I am so excited to be here!

My family has lived in Texas for three years.  I have been married for 17 years and have an 11-year old daughter named Tabitha.  We moved here from Virginia Beach, Virginia.  My husband and I met while serving in the Navy.  He served for 27 years and I served for 5 years.  After my enlistment was over I went back to school and got a bachelor's and master's degree in history from Old Dominion University.  After graduating I taught American history for 8 years, and after moving to Texas I worked on getting certified as an elementary school teacher.

We love our new home here and have enjoyed our time in Texas so far.  I am super excited to be here and get more involved in my community!
