Hello and welcome! I have lived in Little Elm since I was 4. I went to school in LEISD from elementary through high school graduation. My family also lives in Little Elm. We love the community and I want to be able to give back to those who inspired me. I attended Dallas Baptist University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in History. I am certified in EC-6th grade core subjects with certification in ESL through my alternative certification program, Web-Centric. Before coming to Little Elm, I worked as an aide in Denton ISD in the 2020-2021 school year. Then I worked as a first grade teacher at Bridgeway Preparatory Academy in Farmers Branch in the 2021-2022 school year. I have worked for LEISD since 2022 -- I am back home! I got married over the Summer and moved into a new house, so there are many changes happening in my life! I am most excited about getting to know my students and having a great year! My favorite thing about teaching is seeing that "light bulb moment" where a student learns something new or gets excited about something that they did not feel that way about before. Seeing a student make progress that seemed impossible at the beginning of the year is one of the best rewards for me as a teacher.
