Howdy! My name is Sydney Pimentel-Rushing and I am excited about teaching Kindergarten at Prestwick Elementary.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2020 with my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary studies. I am currently attending Texas A&M University to earn my Master of Science in Education Psychology.  I will graduate in May 2023 with my school counselor certification. I began teaching in 2020, and am excited about beginning my first year at Little Elm during the 2022-2023 school year. 

I am from Fall River, Massachusetts, but grew up in McKinney,Texas. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have a fur baby named Sven. I enjoy rollerskating, reading, longboarding and playing ukulele. 

My goal is to help every student grow a passion for learning. I do everything to ensure students feel loved, capable, and accepted within the classroom. I believe students learn through engaging hands-on experiences. Our classroom will always be a place of fun, music, dancing, laughs and creating.
