Hello! My name is Mrs. Mayorga, and I'm thrilled to teach 8th grade ELAR this year at Strike Middle School. Here's a little bit about me: I have a bachelor’s degree in English Education, and I completed my teaching credential program at Cal State Fullerton. So far, I've taught in three different states: California, Virginia, and Texas. In 2021, I moved to Texas and worked as the lead progress monitoring teacher for the P-TECH students in Dallas ISD. During that time, I taught lectures at Dallas College that centered around workplace learning curriculum. I began teaching in Little Elm in 2022, and I’m extremely excited to be back in the classroom teaching what I love– ELAR!

A couple of my favorite hobbies include reading, traveling (especially road trips!), and spending time with my family. So far, I’ve been on three cross-country road trips, and I’ve traveled to the Caribbean. My goal in the next five years is to travel to Alaska, Switzerland, and Italy. 

I look forward to working with all of my students and their families. This is going to be an amazing year!
