Greetings Young Scholars and Parents,

My name is Mr. Hood.  Although this is my first year at Strike Middle School, this is my seventeenth year teaching, and I am teaching ELAR 8 and Honors.  I earned a Bachelor's Degree from Texas State University in Geography.  I have taught both middle and high school in the past sixteen years, and am excited about returning to middle school after ten years teaching upper-level English.

A few of my hobbies include; reading, specifically science-fiction and fantasy, but generally anything I can get my hands on, golf, and traveling with my wife and two daughters.  My goal is to visit all fifty states, but I have a long way to go.

I am looking forward to working with all of you to make this an incredible year!
