Renee Pentecost

Ms. Pentecost joins the district for the 2014-2015 school year. Prior to joining the district she served as an assistant principal at South Garland High School since 2011. She has a reputation for being a strong instructional leader with her background in mathematics. As part of the South Garland HS team, she successfully led the campus from the TEA Rating of “Academically Unacceptable” to “Meets Expectations.”
She brings a wealth of experience in the student intervention process as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to campus.
Prior to joining Garland ISD, she served for three years as the assistant principal of Sam Houston Middle School and as a math facilitator for three years in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. She began her teaching career in 1982.
Ms. Pentecost earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University and her Master’s of Education from Texas A&M University in Commerce. She is currently a candidate for Doctoral Studies of Educational Leadership at Texas A&M University.
