Mrs. Sara Moore - First Grade
Hello! My name is Sara Moore and I am so pleased to be your child's teacher this year! I have been in Little Elm ISD since 2006. I spent my first five years at Hackberry and have been at Brent since 2010. I taught second grade for two years and I have been teaching first grade for the last eleven years. First grade is the best grade because they achieve so much growth and I get to teach them how to read! I’m excited to start a new adventure this year teaching the English side of Dual Language!
My husband, Gil, and I have been married since 2009. We live in Little Elm with our two cats, Sadie and Starbuck. We host foreign exchange students during the school year and we love it. It's a great way to learn about other cultures and to help make a teenager's dream to come to America come true. We’ve hosted students from Vietnam, Taiwan, Spain, and Germany.
In my free time I like to read, go to movies, and spend time with family and friends. I am also active in my church and serve as a high school youth counselor.
We are going to have a great year! I look forward to all the growth your child will make in first grade. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me.
