Mrs. Jennifer Everman - Third Grade
My name is Mrs. Jennifer Everman. I love being a part of the Chavez Third Grade Team and am so excited to have your child in my class! It is going to be a great year! I can’t wait to get to know you and your child. I’d like to start by telling you a little about me.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Psychology at Angelo State University. I later realized that I wanted to make a difference in children’s lives so I went back to school where I earned a Master’s of Arts in Teaching degree from Texas Woman’s University. I am certified to teach Early childhood – 4th grade, ESL, Special Education in Early Childhood – 12th grade, and I am Gifted/Talented endorsed. To continue my love of learning I am also currently working on my second master’s degree. This time it will be a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction in Literacy. I have been teaching since 2005. I taught pre-k for a couple of years and then moved to first grade in 2008. This year I wanted to make another change so I moved to 3rd grade teaching Language Arts and Reading.
I have a husband named Tyrone, two daughters named Ainsley and Savannah, and a step-daughter named Meagan. In my spare time I love to run marathons and spend time with my family. My father taught me that you can do anything that you put your mind to so I work to instill that same confidence in my students because I believe that they can all be successful life-long learners.
I am excited to begin the school year so I can get to know your child and help them become successful life-long learners.
