My name is Richard Mendez and I am a math Specialist for Brent Elementary.  I have been teaching for 17 years and this is my 3rd year at Brent Elementary School.  I have an accounting degree and I also hold a Master's degree in Bilingual Education.  My hobbies that I enjoy are playing basketball, riding bikes with my kids, and going to the movies.  I also coach club volleyball on my spare time. I believe that "when educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts" quoted by B.B. King.  I am excited about this upcoming year.
