Ms. LaCoya Bagley- 8th English Pre-AP/GT and On level

Hello future students and parents,

Welcome!! My name is LaCoya Bagley, and this is my 7th year of teaching in Little Elm ISD. I have been a teacher for 12 years, and I previously taught 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade Pre-AP and on level social studies in Lubbock ISD. I currently teach 8th-grade Pre-AP, GT and on level English here at Lakeside. I have also taught 8th-grade Pre-AP and on-level history classes for 2 years at Lakeside. My first and only child, Zion, is 4 years old and he is my pride and joy! He is an active, intelligent and amusing toddler who always keeps me laughing. I love being his mother! Some of my hobbies include traveling, reading, shopping, being a life-long learner and teaching everywhere that I go. Speaking of being a lifelong learner; I am currently enrolled at Lamar University and I will have my masters in Educational Administration by July of 2019. I cannot wait to see what is next in my journey as an educator.

I am no longer an athletics coach here at Lakeside, but it still okay to refer to me as Coach Bagley. I really miss all of my former athletes and I am still here should you all need my help.

Lubbock, TX is my hometown and I am a proud graduate of Texas Tech University class of 2007! I love my Red Raiders, and I support them to the fullest. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you this year, and we will succeed in this historic journey together! I truly believe that every child can and will learn in my classroom.

**Please remember to read a variety of books, magazines, manuals, recipes, video game instructions, pamphlets and/or informational texts at least 20 minutes or more a night! Reading and Social Studies go hand-in-hand! The better you are at reading; the better you will be at retaining/comprehending all of the information that we will learn together this year!! I am here to serve, and please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions, comments or concerns that you may have. I will be learning with you every step of the way! Go, Lobos!!

     Sincerely,

     Ms. Bagley
