Hello Lakeview Lobos and Welcome to ART!
This is my 17th year teaching in Little Elm ISD. I taught 4 years of Kindergarten and then was given the dream opprotunity the Art Educator. So this is my 13 year as the Art Educator at Lakeview Elementary. I grew up in Irving and graduated from Nimitz High School. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Design from Texas Womans University. I am married to my best friend or 22 years, whom is an Amazing Father, Sculpture Professor and Artist. We are raising three growing sons, all attend LEISD Schools. We have a new daughter, Miss Dolly. She is a resuce dog Black Mouth Cur. Some of my favorite things to do is spending time with my family, swim, walks and travel.
My philosophy is that ALL children succeed in ART. All children can learn to create art with skill, learn from art of great masters that will enrich their lives, and use art as a form of self-expression. My mission is to ENGAGE, EQUIP and EMPOWER students to do more in Art than they think they could. I strive to create an environment where all students can become independent, self-directed risk-takers. I enjoy teaching all grade levels, especially the elementary students as they have "no fear" when creating.
