Welcome to my webpage!! My name is Kevin Hamlin, and I teach OnRamps dual credit English and English IV. I am also the English Language Arts Department Head, as well as being the Student Activities Coordinator at LEHS.
This is my eleventh year at LEHS, after having taught in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch and Richardson ISDs. I have taught all levels of English, from 7th - 12th, in my 22 years of teaching.
I am happily married to Lyndsey, who teaches yearbook and photojournalism at Prosper High School. She is also the head cheer coach for the Eagles. We celebrated our eighth anniversary this past summer. We have a lovely little princess named Landry Sue, who is 6 years old. She loves anything Disney Jr and Boomerang, softball and soccer...and, of course, her puppy Jake-Jake the Cocker Spaniel. This fall, Landry has moved up to kid-pitch softball. She will, no doubt, make Daddy proud on the diamond!! Go Knockouts!!! She plays soccer for the Dragonwings and FCUSA, and loves to run and score goals. Yay Dragonwings and FCUSA!!!
The OnRamps course is created and conducted through the University of Texas at Austin and gives UT credit if the course is passed successfully. This is the fifth year of the program, and there are 225 other teachers that are teaching this course across Texas. I am one of the original 7 teachers though. Please see the link to OnRamps on the left for more information.
