Mrs. Chelsea Nicoli - 11/12 Health Science Technology Teacher
Let me start by saying thank you for googling me, it shows that you are interested in your kids education and I appreciate it. I am very involved with education and making sure our kids get the most out of it. I graduated from University of North Texas with a Bachelors in Biology and The University of Texas at Arlington with a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Science. I started teaching Health Science Technology (HST) classes at Little Elm High School in the Career and Technology Education department in 2012. The HST department consisted of me and one other teacher, we taught every class offered in the strand and had a combined total of under 200 students. Now we have 6 teachers in the HST department, each one specializes in one or two classes and many more students. When I started, I taught three sections of anatomy and now there are nine sections! Anatomy is a really engaging and fun class, and I enjoy teaching it. I love relaying information to the students so that they are prepared for college medical classes and have a good understanding about how their body works.
I am the advisor for the health organization HOSA which brings students across the globe together to compete in health related topics.
I am also on the Texas Health Occupational Advisors (THOA) board. THOA is an organization for the teachers, generally, Health Science teachers come from the healthcare industry and we are able to provide them teacher support and networks.
I am located in the newest wing at LEHS in 2252B.
