Hi! My name is Syeda Mohsinuddin and I am a 4th grade teacher. I usually go by Mrs. Uddin. I will be teaching English Language Arts Reading and SocialStudies this year. This is my 17th year of teaching and 9 years of working in LEISD. Prior to that I taught 4^th grade at The North Hills Preparatory School (IB) in Irving, Texas, which was rated the 9th best school in the nation by Newsweek Magazine in 2007. Next, I taught 1^st grade for two years and 5^th grade for 1 year at ISI (a government accredited school) in Irving. 

As a teacher my philosophy is to create a stimulating learning environment where students feel safe to be proactive and become highly involved in their own learning. I believe in creating an atmosphere where cultural differences are embraced as a means to higher levels of thinking and learning. I promote a policy of mutual respect between teacher and student. I collaborate with my administration, community, peers and colleagues. Technology plays an important role in my creating an interactive learning environment. 

Besides teaching, I like to travel, read books, listen to music and cook. I look forward to having a great year this year.
