Mrs. Yamile Quintero, M.S, CFLE-Family Facilitator/Homeless Liaison

Yamile Quintero-Corredor works for Little Elm ISD as District Family Facilitator. Mrs. Quintero joined the district on August 2006 as a Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten teacher and after a year she took  the Position as a Family Support Services Facilitator/Homeless Liaison for the school District.

 

Mrs. Quintero began her career teaching several courses in Psychology to Engineer and Psychology undergraduate students at the Pontifical Bolivariana University in Colombia where she is from. Mrs. Quintero began her career working with families at the University Of North Texas in the Human Development and Family Science department. She was also working for AVANCE Dallas a non- profit organization that works with Hispanic low income families with children between 0 and 3 years old where she was a Family Coordinator for 4 sites at Dallas ISD. Mrs. Quintero has also worked for the Denton Family Resource Center as a Family Life Educator and Friends of the Family as a Violence Intervention Crisis Specialist. Before moving to Little Elm ISD Mrs. Quintero worked as a Bilingual Teacher for the Head Start program at Denton ISD for 4 years.

 

She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and Post-Graduate studies in Learning Disabilities under a Neuropsychological Behavioral Analysis Approach  from Konrad Lorenz University, Bogota Colombia. She earned her Master’s of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas.

She is a member of the National Council of Family Relations and the National Association of Psychology in Colombia.

She holds a Teacher's Certification in EC-4 and Bilingual Education. She is also certified as a Family Life Educator from the National Council of Family Relations.
