Mr. Jeff Burton
Trustee
Place 1, Elected 2023
Term Expires 2026
I was elected to the Board of Trustees in May of 2023. My wife, Lee, and I moved to Little Elm in 2019 and have 2 daughters with 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 20, 18, 14, 4 and 2, with the oldest one attending Grapevine Schools and the youngest ones attending Little Elm Schools.
We have been married for 51 years and both of us are very active in our community. I received an Electronic Technician degree which allowed me to work for Eastman Kodak Company for 25 years and Dallas Area Rapid Transit for 26 years. I grew up in a farming community and teaching the "trades" is one of my favorite areas to focus upon. I have always been involved with my "hometown" and school districts ranging from Volleyball Booster President, Band Booster Board Member, President of a CPAC focused on community involvement, and serving on numerous boards and commissions associated with the communities where we have lived.
I owned and managed a competitive youth volleyball club that provided exposure to college and university coaches which developed into numerous scholarships for our female athletes. I currently serve on the Little Elm Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustments, Election Judge for Denton County, Voter Registration Deputy Registrar for Denton County, Precinct Chair for the Denton County Republican Party, the Board of Directors of The Conservatives of Little Elm community organization and the Architectural Committee for our HOA. I have served in many leadership callings for my Church and served a local service mission with my wife.
